The A4 Arts Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the arts in Southern Africa. A4 is grounded by an understanding of art as a reciprocal resource, a catalyst for innovation, and a medium of collectivity.
Configured within a three-storey warehouse on Buitenkant Street in Cape Town, the A4 Arts centre hosts a gallery and project space, as well as a multimedia library.
Circle Series artist Katharien de Villiers prepares to stage sound-blindness in A4’s library. The artist will be in-situ within the exhibition for seven Thursdays, between 11 February -25 March. Visits to sound-blindness are an opportunity for close engagement, taking place in pairs, or one-on-one with the artist, as she collages among the works. On First Thursday 4 March, A4's library will be open until 7pm. Booking is essential.

A4 Circle Series invites an emerging artist to work with an emerging curator, and stage an exhibition in A4’s library. The library as a site plays a pivotal role in the staging of the work.
