We offer various photographic & video-related courses, led by industry experts, to ensure you walk away with practical skills, knowledge & inspiration to create your visual story.
You are invited to attend the launch of a first of its kind, Half Tone – a dedicated photographic exhibition and periodical celebrating the work of a select collective of African analogue photographers.
Half Tone aims to offer a platform for the development and celebration of new African work from young voices: Ones who speak beyond the great photograph to reveal the humanity behind the shot. There is a raw simplicity behind their images and at times a romantic approach to the subject matter where the viewer is unwittingly implicated in an often-awkward moment of revelation.
Analogue photography was the original magic. A static mirror of the present, locked in a format for posterity. The equipment, the photographer, the pose and the flash. Time sealed in silver nitrate and fixed on paper. A vital moment of people and space in time, invoking a sense of perspective for the viewer.
Half Tone is a creative platform showcasing the work of African analogue photographers.
Half Tone celebrates mindful images.
Half Tone shies away from instant gratification.
Half Tone celebrates the future of the past.
