The first-of-its-kind Tevolution Museum tells the story of TV’s evolution, and showcases innovation in technology and gaming.
The official launch of the museum takes place on First Thursdays on 5 December 2024.
The Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Hisense South Africa and the Sendinggestig Museum officially launch the Tevolution Museum.
From the nostalgic wooden box TVs with “bunny ear” antennas to the newly-launched 110-inch UX display, visitors to the museum can explore the decades-long evolution of the television. The museum’s exhibits are hands-on, with many screens linked to popular gaming consoles, including the latest Xbox Series X.
The museum will also offer school tours, art exhibitions and technological workshops.
