Forms of Energy

Forms of Energy is an exhibition of recent works by Michael Elion and Tim Dempers.

Shown together, their respective paintings – for all their apparent differences – find themselves in close conversation, the artists following similar themes in their distinct visual vocabularies. Most apparent is a shared preoccupation with the notation of past gestures, of suspended movement and recorded action. There are parallels, too, in Elion and Dempers’ respective engagements with uncertainty and chance; both working with methods and mediums that resist careful control.

Forms of Energy opens at 7pm on Thursday 5 December at ‘Art at 15 on Orange’, Yemaya Spa, 15 on Orange Hotel. Showing alongside the exhibition is a selection of paintings by Adrienne Judes.
