Conversations with artists: Marx Studios is the first in a series of exhibitions on projects where Wolff Architects collaborated with artists in making something.
This project involved the design and construction of two studios for Maja and Gerhard Marx during 2016-7. The exhibition will feature their work and some of our drawings which will show how their work influenced the design of their studios. As much as their work influenced the appearance of the studios, their working methods shaped the space; the way they move around their studios while working shaped both plan and section.
There will be a conversation at the exhibition about the process, the breakthroughs, the key debates and the fun four friends had in making something together.
